On Monday 18 April, 2022 four Russian missiles hit the western Ukrainian city of Lviv. Three missiles hit a military base not far from the city centre while one missile hit a car repair shop. Seven people have been killed and eleven injured as a result of the missile strike which is said to be part of an offensive by Russia to "soften up" the country before a planned assault in the East.
