Relatives and friends take part at a farewell ceremony for Ukrainian poet and serviceman Maxym Kryvtsov who was killed fighting against Russian troops on the Independence Square in Kyiv, Ukraine on 11 January 2024, amid the Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Hundreds Ukrainians came to honor the memory of the fallen Ukrainian poet and soldier Maxym Kryvtsov (33), call sign "Dali", and say goodbye to him. Maksym became the author of the book "Poems from the loophole", recognized as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023. He participated in the Revolution of Dignity, and then went to the front as a volunteer in 2014. Maxym fought as part of the 5th battalion of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps "Right Sector" and together with the "Da Vinci Wolves". Until 2019, he was a senior machine gunner in the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Rubizh". Maxym joined the Ukrainian army again as a volunteer in 2022, when the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began. During the farewell, Maxim's poems, read by his voice sounded on the Independence Square in Kyiv.
