Anti-government protest in Warsaw, Poland

Crowds of people, holding Polish national flags, led by Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość - PIS) political party leaders protest in front of Polish Parliament building against changes in public media in Poland and in protection of democracy - PIS politicians say. The Law and Justice party ruled in Poland for 8 years until they lost the last election in October 2023. The party now becomes a right-wing opposition force against a more centrist and liberal ruling coalition, where the main political force is Civic Coalition led by Donald Tusk, former President of the Council of EU and now Prime Minister of Poland.
