Polish government betraying voters on women's rights

Several hundred people protested in front of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Poland on 08 March, 2024 to urge President Andrzej Duda to support women's rights. Duda previously vouched to immediately veto an amendment recently passed by the upper and lower Houses of Parliament that will allow emergency contraceptives without prescription. The president is a close ally of the previous administration which has significantly limited reproductive rights during its last eight years in power. The newly elected government promised voters long awaited liberalisation for reproductive rights however critics say it is dragging its feet and has not been keeping its promises nearly a half year after being elected. 00:00:00 - 00:06:18 Protesters marching 00:06:18 - 00:11:17 Protesters marching 00:11:17 - 00:17:21 Police surrounding pro-choice protesters with banner 00:17:21 - 00:26:11 wide shot protesters marching 00:26:11 - 00:35:17 tilt shot church to protesters marching 00:35:17 - 00:41:15 protester with sign 00:41:15 - 00:48:15 protester dressed as Handmaid's Tale character with sign 00:48:15 - 00:54:16 protester in front of Presidential Palace with sign 00:54:16 - 00:58:23 protester with sign 00:58:23 - 01:04:13 protesters shouting slogans to sign petition 01:04:13 - 01:08:08 protester with sign with images of president Duda and text to sign law 01:08:08 - 01:14:19 sign with images of president Duda and text to sign law.
