IIS reveals that mosquitoes don’t transmit coronavirus

A study conducted by ISS (Italy's national health institute) shows that mosquitos (Aedes albopictus and Culex pipiens) are unable to transmit the novel coronavirus to humans. The scientific study was conducted in collaboration with IZSVe, a research organisation for animal health and food safety. The research showed that the virus, once given to the mosquito through a meal of infected blood, was not able to replicate," ISS said in a statement.
