The United States of America is one of the five largest importing countries of soybeans to Indonesia.Ministry of Agriculture indonesia plans to stop importing soybeans by 2020. Agus 47 year said "During the Covid-19 outbreak, tempe craftsmen had difficulty getting soybean raw materials on the market for the past two months. My tempe production fell by 50% from the normal production of 3.5 quintals per day. I have been getting imported soybeans from the United States for Rp 7,100 per kilogram this week."
