Around 7000 participants gathered to attend the traditional horo dance in the ice cold waters of the Tundzha river on Epiphany holiday in the town of Kalofer, Bulgaria on 6 January, 2018. Snow-machines and artificial lights were used to enhance the morning winter atmosphere as the men entered the river and the Orthodox Christian ritual of throwing the Holy Cross in the water was performed.
