Human-elephant conflict continues in Assam, India

A herd of elephants gather in a field in the village of Bahampur in Nagaon district of India's northeastern state of Assam, Dec. 9, 2021. Some 100 elephants have appeared from the forest in India's north-eastern state of Assam searching for food in the area around the village. A herd of wild elephants, that descended down from the hills neighbouring Nagaon district have entered Bahampur ,Bamuni village which created terror among the residents of the area for the past few days damaging crops, houses and causing human casualties.
