Italy reports 83.403 new coronavirus infections and 287 deaths

In the last 24 hours, 83,403 new cases of Covid were registered in Italy, with 541,298 swabs taken (on Sunday there were 149,512 infections with 927,846 tests). The positivity rate stands at 15.4%, slightly down from 16.1% the previous day. The Ministry of Health reported 287 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 141,391.
