The roll-out of 5G cellular network from Verizon and AT&T is causing problems for airlines in the US despite the telecommunication companies ensuring that the network is not operational near the airports. Cancellation, delays of flights and change of aircraft equipment is happening the past hours in the United States of America. Emirates, Air India, ANA and Japan Airlines have canceled some flights to the United States due to concerns that the deployment of 5G networks near airports. The C-Band seems to interfere with various systems of airplanes such the wide-body Boeing 777. The problem comes in addition to the difficult period of the aviation industry with passenger traffic phasing decline due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic having a negative impact on the travel business industry with fears of the deteriorating situation due to the new Omicron variant mutation. Footage from 2019-2022 shows various US and Euroepan airports including New York JFK, Newark, Brussels, Amsterdam, Athens, Dusseldorf in addition to Airbus and Boeing airplanes flying, landing, taking off or overflying from airlines like Delta Air Lines, United, American Airlines, British Airways, Air France, KLM, Air Canada, Easy Jet, Turkish Airlines, El Al, Easy Jet, and more.
