Paolo Shaul Levi, a Paduan Jewish intellectual arrested in Chioggia on 5 December 1943 and never returned from the Nazi extermination camp at Auschwitz. A Stumbling Stone in his honor was laid in Padua on 27 January 2022 during the Day of Remembrance
