The botanical garden of Padua, founded in 1545, is the oldest botanical garden in the world still in its original location. Located in an area of about 2.2 hectares, it is located in the historic center of Padua, near the Prato della Valle. Since 1997 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
