Protesters from Extinction Rebellion climbed the main statue place de la Republique, representing Marianne, to cover it with the colors of Ukraine. Tens of thousands of people joined 130 demonstrations across France in an effort to pressure the country’s presidential election candidates to put climate change at the top of the political agenda.
