Usman Firdaus, the founder of the Ciliwung Lovers Community (Mat Peci) has almost 16 years devoted himself to mobilizing the Ciliwung riverbanks in the Jagakarsa area and most of the Ciliwung riverbanks in Jakarta to keep the Ciliwung river clean. One of the innovations, through the assistance of the World Wild Foundation, will be to establish a waste bank for the manufacture of plastic bricks to build houses from plastic waste taken from the Ciliwung river.
