Demolition works continue at Tokyo's iconic Nakagin Capsule Tower in Ginza on April 16, 2022, in Tokyo, Japan. The dismantling of the futuristic building (mixed-use residential and office tower) has begun on April 12, designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa and consists of 144 individual capsules (to be replaced every 25 years). It was constructed between 1970 and 1972. According to local media, the tower is slated for demolition until December 29.
