Opening polls for French Presidential Elections

At polling stations number 34, 35 and 36 in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, even before 8 a.m. some voters were already waiting for the polling stations to open. A presidential election fraught with uncertainty and crushed by the war in Ukraine is drawing the voters' overwhelming attention. Despite fears of a very low turnout, precisely because of the risk of a lack of interest in the presidential election due to the international crisis, at least in this polling station an estimated 200/250 people went to vote between 8 and 11 a.m. The polling stations remained open until 8pm. In Paris, 10 of April, 2022. Sound 1 voter: It is a bit indiscreet to ask what I will vote for but I have my idea, my opinion and I hope it will pay off. Sound 2 voter: Since I have to go to work afterwards, it was really important for me to get up early and come to vote, really important for me. Sound 3 voter: These elections are particularly important for me, this war in Ukraine is a catastrophe. I can't say whether it will change with our new President or with the one who will remain but in any case I hope we can really help the Ukrainians because it is heartbreaking and above all we want to avoid a world war.
