Ukrainian internal refugees celebrate Easter Sunday

Ukrainian faithful pray during the Easter Sunday service, called Holy Pascha in Greek-Catholic church in Nadyby, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine on April 24, 2022. Holy Pascha in Ukraine took place on Sunday morning instead of traditional midnight due to military curfew. As the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine nearly two months ago, the conflict forced more than 10 million Ukrainians to flee the war zones, both internally and externally. Lviv Oblast hosts many of the internal refugees. Nadyby village and its Greek Catholic church became a shelter for dozens of refugees from Kharkiv, Donesk and Zaporizhzhia Oblast. As Ukrainian faithful gather for orthodox Easter celebrations, local Christians and the refugees celebrate Easter together.
