The wife and sister of a soldier from the Azov battalion delivered a letter to the Turkish embassy in Rome addressed to President Erdogan to act as a mediator in the liberation of the Azovstal steelworks. The steelworks, located in the city of Mariupol, have long been the scene of clashes between Russian troops and Ukrainian soldiers of the Azov battalion, barricaded inside. In the pictures Kateryna Plechystova, wife of a soldier of the battalion, launches an appeal to save the Ukrainian soldiers in the Azovstals.
