Flood affected villagers are transported in a boat to a safer place at Bakula Guri village in Nagaon district of Assam ,India on May 15,2022. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority a total of 24,681 people in 94 villages in six districts of Assam have been affected due to floods.The torrential rains that washed away a portion of a road in the Haflong area in Assam's Dima Hasao district, have claimed the lives of three people including a woman. Six districts including Cachar, Dhemaji, Hojai, Karbi Anglong West, Nagaon, and Kamrup (Metro) have been affected by floods.
