Pakistan's government increases petrol price

Pakistan's government increased fuel prices by 14.85 Pakistani rupees per liter (0.073 US dollar) on 01 July, bringing the petrol price to 248.74 Pakistani rupees (1.23 US dollar) per liter. The government failed to reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on an economic bailout, largely due to economic instability in the country.
