Several thousand are seen on Victory square in front of the government headquarters demonstrating against the proposal by the government to ease anti-graft legislation on 3 February, 2017. Recently the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD) party has proposed legislation which would result in the pardoning of numerous government officials escaping prosecution for corruption including the head of the ruling party Liviu Dragnea.
