The Death Gate on the entrance to the area of the former Nazi German concentration camp KL Stutthof is seen in Sztutowo, Poland on 10 September 2022 Stutthof was the first Nazi concentration camp built outside of Germany. Completed on September 1939, it was located in a secluded, wet, and wooded area, west of the small town of Sztutowo, Freie Stadt Danzig area. About 65,000 inmates died in the Stutthof death camp, functioned from Sept. 1939 to May 1945.
