Record number of COVID-19 cases in Japan in one day: 185,000

On Thursday, the Japanese Health Ministry reported that the country had registered nearly 185,000 new COVID-19 cases in the previous day. This confirms a continued spread of the virus, which had seen a resurgence in early October. According to the data, 184,375 positive cases were identified, slightly lower than the highest level of 190,607 cases reported earlier this week. Additionally, 15 new cases were considered severe, and 339 people passed away due to the virus.
