Workers were processing fish waste at a factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 22, 2023 for export to foreign countries. Bangladesh is a major exporter of fish and seafood products, with a significant portion of its seafood exports comprising fish byproducts. According to the Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association, the country exported $451.94 million worth of seafood products in the 2020-21 financial year.
