Between 1.3 and 3.5 million people took to the streets on 7 March for a new day of general strike against the pension reform wanted by French President Emmanuel Macron and the government of Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. All major trade unions joined the strike, bringing at least 90,000 people onto the streets in Paris. A march that started from Sevres-Babylone and ended at the Place de l'Italie, in the south of Paris, and was characterised by numerous acts of vandalism by extremist fringes, resulting in the intervention of the police.
