Greek students demand justice and accountability for fatal train crash tragedy

Students protests on the street of Athens to demand justice for Tempi train crash tragedy and hold the government accountable for the collision. 18 student associations joined forces to protest the recent railway accident near Larissa, which claimed the lives of at least 57 people. The demonstrators marched through the Greek capital city with anti-government banners calling for justice and accountability, calling the government murderers and expressing their anger against the privatization of the railway company. In addition, protesters carried printed pictures with an X over politicians and pro-government journalists, accompanied by slogans against the government's handling of the tragedy. The protest culminated at the Parliament, with students leaving a powerful message painted in red outside the building. The growing public outrage over the incident shows no signs of abating, as the people of Greece are mourning while demanding answers and action. Athens, Greece on March 9, 2023
