Some 1,000 people have gathered at the doors of the European Commission building in Barcelona on July 2, 2019 against the veto of Euro MPs elected in the European Parliament, Carles Puigdemont, Oriol Junqueras and Toni Comín. There have been shouts of "independence", "freedom of political prisoners and exiles" or "this Europe is a shame". The concentration has been convened by the Committees of Defense of the Republic (CDR) and other sectors related to the cause. And a protest manifesto has been read asking the institutions of the European Union "the initiative to promote and mediate dialogue".
