Nearly 500 people have demonstrated on July 13, 2019 in Barcelona in support of the NGO Open Arms and "against the criminalization and persecution of organizations that fight to save lives at sea." The demonstration began in front of the Italian Consulate in Barcelona and ended in the port of this city. There were criticisms of the main European leaders.
