Gazans bought sheep and cattle from the livestock market on Monday 06-26-2023 in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha is the holiest of Muslims' holidays celebrated every year, as it marks the annual pilgrimage to visit Mecca, the holiest place in Islam. Muslims slaughter the sacrifice and divide the meat into three parts, one part for the family, another for friends and relatives, and another for the poor and needy.
