The cause was an extreme downpour that hit Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, causing supply disruptions since the previous Friday. Fruit prices have surged between 10-30% over the last 5-6 days, while vegetable prices have seen an increase of 25-100%.
