Indian forest officials examine the carcasses of two wild elephants after found dead near a paddy field in Nagaon District of Assam , India on July 21 ,2023. A team of the forest department, which reached the spot, found injury marks on the face and trunk of the elephant. Electrocution was suspected as the cause of elephant's death.It is suspected that the farmers may have resorted to using electric current as a means to safeguard their paddy field from elephants, which electrocuted the animal.
