Swimmers and surfers head to the beaches of Barcelona despite the rain

The city of Barcelona woke up to intermittent but intense rains during the early hours of this first Sunday in August. Swimmers have decided to go into the sea even on a rainy day. This is the case of Isabel Llopis, a Barcelona resident who did not hesitate to attend her swimming classes at the Beach of Barcelona despite the rains. Llopis assured that the water temperature was "great" even though the waves complicated the class: "it was very hard to swim in, but easy to get to the shore". Some residents like Alberto Rodríguez, changed his beach plans for a walk along the promenade due to the bad weather. However, Rodríguez is happy with this weather change because "at least you rest better, you don't sweat as much, you're not as exhausted from the heat...". During the morning, some surfers were also seen in the area.
