Lights effect are seen in Basilica di Santa Maria di Collemaggio in L’Aquila, Italy, on august 15, 2023. Every year on august 15 a light effect occurs in the church: a few seconds before sunset sunlight crosses the central rose window of the church facade and lights the upper part of mullioned window in the apse. The light effect looks like a Virgin Mary, right on mid-august, feast of the Assumption of Mary.
