Palestinians are shopping at the gold market in the old Gaza market located in east Gaza City. Known as the Qissariya Market, the Gold Market features a pointed and vaulted roof above the central road and is situated along the southern edge of the Great Mosque of Gaza, adjacent to the main Omar Mukhtar Street. Recently, gold prices in Palestine have experienced changes; the price per gram of gold has increased by the equivalent of 2 US dollars in the Gaza Strip.
