Thousands of government workers rally in Warsaw
Several thousand people take part in the "March of Wrath" organized by trade unions of different professional groups; uniformed services including police, justice workers, local government employees and those working in the ministries. Participants are demanding wage increases that compensate for the strong inflation, some of the EU's highest that Poland has been suffering since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Marian Banks, the president of the government's audit office told Reuters government spending is becoming increasingly nebulous as more and more funds are being allocated off-budget.
