Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits Ukraine

Some 34,000 Jews were murdered over two days in September 1941 at Babiy Yar, a ravine in Kiev rendering it a symbol of the Holocaust where Nazis shot more than 100,000 people. As local media reported, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits Ukraine to discuss the launch of a free trade zone between the countries and a pension agreement during his a two-day state visit to Ukraine, on 18-19 August. This is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s first visit to Kiev in the past 20 years.
