Garment workers Protest in Bangladesh
Garment workers in Dhaka, Bangladesh, took to the streets on October 31, 2023, demanding an increase in minimum wages. During a silent protest for higher wages, rod-wielding outsiders allegedly entered their workplace and assaulted the workers. As a result, at least 60 workers were injured. In response to the attack, the ready-made garment (RMG) workers escalated their demonstration, taking their protest to the streets and vandalizing the factory.
