Jordan Bardella's statements after the meeting with Macron

This is a simple soundbite about Hamas vs Israel war and immigration policy: TRANSCRIPTION: It was an opportunity for me to deplore the President of the Republic's various U-turns on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which I believe have blurred France's message for several days now. And to remind of the need to protect the French people from the importation into our country of the Hamas ideology which is already spreading to many neighborhoods and which killed one of our teachers, Didier Bernard, a few days ago in our country. Concerning the institutional situation, I had the opportunity to reiterate my request for a referendum on immigration. The President of the Republic is not considering this possibility at the moment. I told him that the law currently being debated in Parliament would not be enough, and that it would, all in all, be a derisory step in the State's future ability to control our immigration policy. There's a very simple reason for this, and that is that a large part of our immigration policy is in the hands of European and international jurisprudence, which requires France to enshrine in the Constitution the entire shield that should enable us to regain control of immigration.
