The State Central Library building, originally known as the Victoria Diamond Jubilee Library, is located in Palayam, Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), Kerala, India. The library, which was completed in 1900, showcases the striking Trivandrum-Gothic style with its red brick and white stone architecture, similar to other public buildings from the same period such as the Napier Museum and Victoria Town Hall. The library's collection, established in 1829 by the then Maharajah of Travancore (present-day Kerala), is currently being maintained, making it one of the oldest, if not the oldest, libraries in India.
