Kashmiri Shia Muslims are currently being seen shouting anti-Israel slogans and holding posters in support of Palestine during a demonstration on Al-Quds Day in Srinagar. Al-Quds Day, a day of remembrance for the Palestinian people, is being celebrated every year on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. It was initiated by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of the Iranian Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
