On April 27, 2024, in Turin, Italy, over a hundred Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists are occupying the skyscraper headquarters of the Intesa Sanpaolo bank. The activists are accusing the bank of continuing to finance fossil fuels. The protest is well attended and follows other protests that have taken place in the week leading up to the G7 in Venaria on Climate and Environment, which is set to begin on Sunday, April 28th.
