Several dozen protesters in white dresses with names of Ukrainian cities bombed by Russian forces interrupted a visit of the Russian ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev to the Soviet Military Cemetery on 09 May, 2024. Andreyev laid flowers at the memorial to mark Victory Day, the commemoration of the Second World War victory of Soviet forces over Nazi Germany. During the ceremony protesters could be heard screaming "terrorists" at the Russian delegation.
