On May 29, Pei Xiaofei, spokesperson of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said that in 2023, the proportion of excellent water quality sections in the Yangtze River Basin reached 95.6%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period last year, and the main stream water quality remained Class II for four consecutive years.
