At least 10 bomb blasts occurred in the city of Jalalabad of Nangarhar Province on August 19, 2019 as the residents were celebrating the 100th Independence Day, local officials said. Nangarhar Public Health Directorate said in a statement that at least 72 people were wounded the in explosions. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the explosions.
