Workers are producing tofu from imported soybeans in the Pasir Putih area, Depok, West Java, on June 27, 2024. Tofu and tempe producers are complaining about the increase in the price of imported soybeans from IDR 700 thousand per quintal to IDR 1.2 million per quintal due to the weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar. As a result, producers are reducing the size of tofu and tempe.
