Proposal to Amend the Animal Protection Law, which paves the way for the euthanasia of stray dogs; It was accepted with the amendments made by the Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. With the amendment made to the most controversial article of the proposal, the expression "euthanasia" was removed from the text of the article. However, the way for euthanasia was kept open according to the principles in the Veterinary Services Law.
