At 11:15 am on July 27, 2024, the 46th session of UNESCO's World Heritage Conference held in New Delhi, India, adopted a resolution to add "the central axis of Beijing - the masterpiece of China's ideal capital order" to the World Heritage List, bringing the total number of World Heritage sites in China to 59.
