The wildfire that was started on Yamanlar Mountain in Izmir on August 15, spread over a wide area due to the effect of the wind. The fire also affected residential and industrial areas. 17 houses were burned in the fire, 105 houses were evacuated. 44 workplaces were also evacuated. The fire, which caused the evacuation of 3 neighborhoods, affected an area of approximately 1600 hectares. While there was no loss of human life in the fire, some animals in the villages died. The wildfire in Izmir Yamanlar were brought under control and was extinguished. 18 Aug 2024
