Cuba is facing severe water shortages, exacerbating the struggles of residents already grappling with scarcities in food, fuel, and electricity. Over 600,000 people, roughly one in twenty of the island's 10 million citizens, are experiencing significant water supply issues. Havana is the hardest hit, although water shortages are affecting all major Cuban cities, with at least 30,000 people in each of the largest cities facing similar challenges. The escalating crisis is heightening tensions across the nation.
