Seeping and broken flood embankments, an epidemiological threat, a flooded cemetery, water that has not flowed out of the city for five days, no electricity and sewage system, and at night dangerous looters robbing residents - this is Lewin Brzeski - a city in the Opole Voivodeship, in southwestern Poland on Thursday, September 20, 2024. The city was already classified as one of the most flood-affected cities in Poland on Monday. Today, the government changed the head of the local crisis team.
